Working Of a Gear Reducer

A gear reducer is a mechanical device used to change the speed or torque of a rotating shaft. It does this by transferring energy from one gear to another, using gear ratios to increase or decrease the speed or torque. Gear reducers work by meshing two gears together. The first gear, called the input gear, is attached to the input shaft. The second gear, called the output gear, is attached to the output shaft. This means that for every two revolutions of the input gear, the output gear will make one revolution. The gear ratio, therefore, increases the torque on the output shaft by a factor of two.
